My teenage sone and I and some friends would like to go on a spring snow goose hunt in 2025 if possible. Does anyone have suggestions on outfitters in the Dakotas.

Dirty bird outfitters, they are based in Nodak and start in Arkansas and chase them up the flyway. They will try and put you on them.

I know it's not the dakota's but my dad, my son and I just did a three day hunt with Golden Goose Waterfowl in Mound City, MO and had a great hunt and a great time. Killed 100 in 2 1/2 days of hunting. It is better during the spring season. The guys have access to a lot of ground and were constantly scouting and moving spreads to keep us on the birds. Contact them through facebook or send me a PM if you don't do facebook.

There are millions of snows and blues along Highway 67 from Hoxie to Newport Arkansas right now. We drove to Little Rock today and the geese are here.

Know a guy running a migratory spread just north if walnut ridge/hoxie and he said they saw 10 geese today, from a long ways off. They killed 72 on friday.

There were fields like that yesterday for 40 miles along 67. Some had more than that. Morning and afternoon when we drove home. But none North of Hoxie or south of Newport.

From the blind we can see a lot of geese. But they seem very content to sit in the sun and float around on the excess water we have. Not a lot of new geese flying in from elsewhere with skies clear of migrating birds for most of the day.

So lots of potential but limited opportunities. The geese are not cooperating. They just sit in neighboring fields all day taunting us. We had a great time last year. So far this year it’s been slow.

Are they chasing feeds or hunting permanent migratory spreads?

They have several permanent spreads in this area that they take hunters to. Last year at this time it was great when we got 126. This year was very different & we only got 14. Still had a good time hanging out with some friends I only see once a year.
