One of my favorite movies. The A6 is my most favorite combat aircraft. Love the scenes of that archaic instrumentation in the instrument panel.

Presently available on Prime.

Yeah, sure, I know the book, and the movie have a slim grasp on reality. But still I like it a lot.

Favorite line from any movie ever: Willem Dafoe, "Come on Sandy. I'd do it for you."

That was a great book, I’ll have to check out the movie. Thanks for the heads up.

Was this the story featuring a main character popularly known as "Magnet Ass?" Read a ton of those books back in the 80s.

It is a 1991 movie based on Stephen Coonts's book of the same name published in 1986. Coonts was a bomber pilot previously.

There are apparently 9 or 10 books in the Jake Grafton series.

My dad has watched that about 672 times. Plus or minus I might be off 10-/+

It is a good movie, no doubt.

But I knew kids that watched Barney and Friends purple fuzzy dinosaur less number of times.

I asked him if he was retarded. I seems excessive.

Just me stopping by I’ve watched it a couple times in the back ground. Dude is ready for jello.

I won't volunteer for the Jello yet.

I think this evening was my third viewing in 30 years.

I went to College with a guy who bragged he had seen "Star Wars" thirteen times during the time it was playing in our local theaters at initial release.

I believe there are at least two former A-6 pilots here. Jorge and Pugs

It’s a very entertaining movie, with a great cast. The mad chitter switching to the mad pisser was funny as hell considering I was stationed on an amphibious assault ship at the time.

Friend Brad Johnson starred as Jake Grafton. RIP, gone too soon.

I have over 1,000 hours in that wonderful aircraft. Knew 2 guys in the squadron that filmed scenes for that movie all around Hawaii.

I always enjoyed my conversations with Brad, when he came into the Gun Library.

IIRC, Jorge flew the Lockheed S-3 Viking.
