No one, especially the Elites, wants to live in a truly Communist country, like the early days of the PRC, Romania, USSR, etc. That doesn’t allow them to enjoy or flaunt their wealth, or control it either. Even China, ruled by hard-core Communists, allows its citizens to live prosperous, happy lives, as long as they don’t make waves, and permits its own class of Elites, again subject to ultimate control from the Party. The current crop of Western Elites essentially live beyond the law, go and do exactly what they please, beholding to no one, and are free to make preposterous proposals about how the rest of the world needs to live, while following none of it themselves. They are the ultimate scammers and hypocrites.

One huge difference between Communism and Socialism is that in Communist country, no one gets to sit on their ass and still have a place to live and food on the table. Work or starve.
