Hey all,
I posted here a couple weeks back on a Winchester Model 90 22LR pump rifle. I got some good advice on this and the 1903 listed below. The values came direct from the Cabelas guys at the Thornton, CO store. Turns out 3 of the week day gun counter guys are fellow members of my shooting club. Two of them used to buy and order from me when I worked part time at the Sportsman's Warehouse from 2003-2009.
The model 90 Winchester in 22LR is a nice little pump gun. I noticed and the Cabelas guys confirmed that the wood was refinished. Whomever refinished the rifle did a great job, enough so that I didn't notice until I further disassembled it for cleaning and inspection. Even though it looks great, that did a number on the actual value. Original value would have been in the $1200-$1500 range. Now I'm pricing thing at $500 or OBO, shipped.
The second rifle is real sweet heart and points more like a well balanced and fitted shotgun! This rifle is built on a 1903 Springfield action, with a 24" at least #4 barrel. It actually looks a bit heavier, especially at the chamber. Has great iron sights with double folding rears. Probably set for 100 and 200. The action is one of the slickest I've run. Has the original safety and magazine cut off. If I was still interested in African or Alaskan really big game hunting, I'd send this to JES for boring out 9.3 or something similar and leave everything as is! The walnut stock is equally quality with gold metal inlay. Description doesn't do justice. Inspect the pics that I have available, but am still too dense to post myself. $700, shipped.
Thanks for looking, Scott

I did leave that out, didn't I?
30-06, based on chambering several cases and loaded dummies and micing the bore. Bore miced at +/- .304, as I couldn't get a clean groove to groove. I wasn't surprised at the chambering. The barrel is unmarked.
Sorry I didn't include that.

Last try at $550, then it's off to Cabelas!
