A rather c obscure map has shown up showing watersheds where the wolves have been tracked (GMUs?). Covers half the middle of colorado to Wyoming. No specifics or record of meals.
What I glean is traveling, maybe even trying to go home. One rancher had his 3 livestock dogs follow 15 miles one dog got shot by a fearful neighbor (stomach-no prognosis)
The comment sections are too large to read all of but the belief in Lassie saving the calves is wrong and anyway wolves target old lame animals. You bet.
Guard dogs like Pyrenees are not polite lap dogs or even the neighbors tamer variety. And wolves are not fifi's bigger uncle.
A return to natural balance would include 40000 Wikiup dwelling natives eating moccasin stew in winter no EVs

Sounds like they need to become the "burrowing wolf" strain- - - -occupying holes about 10 feet underground- - - -and back filled!

The dog reference is a few people think the cattle should be kept in the barn at night so lassie can protect them
The shot dog was one of three chasing a wolf long distance. Assuming it was a Pyrenees they can be very jntimidating to a stranger. Assume a ranchette dweller who used a .22
Doing my part to keep the fire confusing.

My money is on that within a week or so some of those wolves will be laying dead in a pasture in WY after having crossed the state line. We will be happy to send more.😎 Then they can be herded toward their Wyoming welcome. Win win !
