Considering this prism sight with 3x magnification for an AR -15. I would like to know just how robust the sight is and how it holds zero. I'm not planning on going to combat with it but don't want something I have to baby on an ATV or in the truck. I think 3x magnification will be low enough for close range and still be adequate to 300 yds for torso hits. What is your experience?

I have one on a Kel-Tec CMR-30 .22mag rifle. It works well for that rifle out to 150, but personally I would want more at 300 (just my humble opinion). I feel that it is a durable piece of kit, I do not feel the need to baby it. Biggest issue I have with it is how it looks on the rifle. Eye relief is relatively short so it has to mount on the back of the pic rail with the snorkel type offset mount pointing rearward toward the buttstock. The whole thing just looks goofy to me personally, but form follows function which it seems to do just fine.

It’s on a rifle I haven’t shot in over a year, if you would like to try it out I would be happy to ship it to you for evaluation, just cover the trip is all I ask.
