I purchased a rifle last year built on an Enfield action. The only markings on the rifle are 280 Rem on the shank of the barrel, and 0001 stamped on the action. I don't figure a symbol on the recoil pad will tell me much, but it might tell me more than I know currently.

The emblem has me stumped, but it sure looks like a Limbsaver from the photo showing the cheek piece. Those little tears along the hard base piece. They are darn hard to finish smooth even putting one in the freezer over night.

Looks like a Butler Creek logo.

That's a nicely built Enfield.

That's what came to my mind too. But this one looks like it has a bronc rider in front of the mountains, which the current BC does not. Did it at one time?

That is a nice rifle! There's only two things I don't like, that scope and it's not mine!

If you'll notice, the scope in the picture further down is different than the photos at the top. It came from the shop with the Bushnell. I replaced it with a gloss Monarch UCC 3-9x40.
