Pictures tell the story, a complete receiver and stock, no butt plate. This is off a 58 caliber and the bore was terribly rusted and of no use. There is some rusting on the breechface but nothing that will hurt the function. Being a ML I should be able to ship this directly to your door. $140 shipped. Payment by check of any kind. If you want it, post on here and follow up with a PM.

UPDATE: Based on discussions below this needs to go to an FFL. I don't feel it is worse the troubles so I will just withdraw this. Thank you.

Nope. Hunstmans are firearms. Sidekicks were adapted to fit only ML barrels. My Huntsman was a combo gun with a factory fitted .243 Win barrel.

I’d be interested in the barrel for a rebore if the outside of the barrel is in decent shape, especially if it used a threaded breech plug.

So how does it fire a 243 and a percussion cap with the same firing pin?

The breech plug aligns the cap with the firing pin. There may be a notch in the barrel for a primer carrier. Kinda depends on the vintage. The only receivers that were different are the rimfire SS1 receivers where the firing pin is offset. The Sidekick has the same firing pin alignment but it has a block of steel on the inside bottom of the receiver to keep other barrels from fitting.

Your barrel look like these?

I don't have a breechplug for mine. It is missing but the firing pin is bigger around than any primer.

Almost looks like someone drilled it. I have seen alot of Huntsmans but never like that.

The fact remains, Huntsmans are firearms since the receiver doesn't have any blocking feature to prohibit other barrels from fitting.

Ok, thanks. I guess if it needs to go through an FFL I will just leave it in the corner.
