A trap shooting friend wants to sell his browning silver that he quit shooting after he got a OU for trapshooting. The sale is to fund his next gun interest and I told him to keep it if he can.
So high level... good shotgun to consider? What to look for?
He used it for trp shooting, but the round count isn't super high.
Other than that, How was the show Mrs. Lincoln?

Excellent reputation. All you need to figure out is price.

Which model? Walnut, synthetic, camo, blued?
They are decent guns

They are decent guns I asked for pictures and will look. 2 positive votes so far. I suspect Browning doesn't promote these enough (if they are still being made...)

It is a good gun. The Browning Silver and the Winchester SX4 are essentially the same gun with some cosmetic differences and a slightly raised rib on the Browning.

I had a Stalker version 15 or so years ago. Just as dependable as my Golds but had the semi humpback receiver.

I have one. It goes bang every time I pull the trigger. It did have to go back to Browning to get that sticky stock and fore end replaced. All on their dime. I would buy another.

If the one in question has the Dura-Touch stock a couple cans of brake cleaner to remove the sticky and a trip to Tar-Jac for a redip are pretty easy without sending in the whole gun.

the Silvers are great guns and generally very reliable. I was going to grab one when i found a screaming deal on an A5, and picked that up instead.
