They were common around here along with the John Deere or johnny popper and Ford 8n 9n 2n and jubilee, ferguson to-20, to-30. A bunch of good old tractors but was nice to move on to better models. Sure some odd ones to like SAME air cooled or the Ferrari articulate. Haven't seen a Belarus for a while.

As a young kid I pulled a gang disk and bpttom plows over the fields many times....late into the nights and can hear that ole baby lugging them disks making a turn at end of rows....ole those are some fond memories. Remember at night the muffler would get red hot in the the dark of night. Oh if I could go back in time.

The only IH/Farmall tractors I have owned and driven were a Super C and a 686. Didn't care for the Super C, but liked the 686.

We used to pull the bailer with an M. Also, an H, a Super C, a F-20 on steel, Allis WD-45. Ford 8N, and an Avery. My grandfather had a buzzsaw on the F-20.

Very little time on an M. But I've owned an H, 656, 1066 and JX90U.
Dad had a heat houser for one of his 8Ns. Pretty nice to chore with when it was cold.
Always drink upstream from the herd...cowdoc...

I've pushed a lot of cowshit with an M with a Farmhand F11 front loader. Tricycle front end that allowed you to make some pretty tight turns but also increased the likelyhood that a rear tire was coming off the ground with a full bucket.
I have no use for them damm things anymore.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.

Yep, M was for spreading manure and H was primarily for hauling wagons

Home was IH in the area right around town, John Deere to the NE, and Oliver to the SW, with some overlap. Everybody had a Ford as the second tractor.

Well we're Green and we're Gold, and we play better when it's cold. All us Cheese heads have our favorite superstar. We love Brett Favre.

My brother had a M along with a H, he would buy them cheap and we would get them running good, change fluids, rewire them if needed, tires if needed and flip them, always made money at it. We bought and sold several MF 35’s, 135’s some TO-35 Fergusons, couple of F-40 Fergusons. Currently we’re working on a couple of IH 504 diesels.
