Both jacketed and cast.

And even the Hornady bullets are expensive. smile Eight boxes cost $485. Wow! This is the second last bullet order for a new book project. In the end, I'll be comparing two cartridges, using 16 different bullets. 14 jacketed and 2 cast. It's time to think about using more cast bullets!

I have some cast bullets coming in from Prairie Projectiles in Stettler, AB. It's been around for nine years and the fellow I have dealt with was helpful and quick to get back to me about some questions about his stuff. The bullets he makes, and the prices, are at the link. Kurt offers powdered bullets only. No gas checks.

https://prairieprojectiles.ca

I put together some cartridges without powder or primers, so I can adjust the seater quickly when it's time to load them up. Quite the day.

Steve do you know of any shops that stock reloading supplies in western New Brunswick?

Pickings are pretty lean down that way. The only two that are online are the Gun Dealer in McAdam and Hirsch Precision in NS. Nothing other than gun shows that I know of, but it’s been years.

Fredericton should have a couple, but I haven’t lived there since the 1980s. Everyone used to go to Atlantic Ordnance back in the dim times.

As Steve Mentioned the Gun Dealer in McAdam is probably your best bet. If your in Aroostook County there is Curries Gun and Boot Shop In Woodstock (grew up there) 12 miles from Houlton. Not sure if they have reloading supplies, wouldn't hold my breath, its been 40+ years so they might now. You could give them a call. 1-506-328-8788

Can you order from Grafs.com? I just ordered 1,000 Speer 22 cal. 55 gr. The total was $147 and I dont think they gave me the bulk discount.. I agree, get it while you can. I was at a gun shop and there were half boxes of bullets from a guy who died. . An un opened box of270 150 gr. round nose Hornady was $10. A box of Speer 30 ca. 150 gr. $10. I got over 300 bullets for $31 with tax, and I rarely shoot those calibers .. I could have bought .243 Hornady 80 gr. for $10 a box but I passed.

Unfortunately, we cannot. An export permit is required for bullet sales.

I have ordered from Reloading International in the past. This is from their site. When I did it, the procedure was to pay for the order and RI would send copies of the required documents and a link to the federal department in Canada for the form that has to be filled out. Once everything was signed, everything went back to RI and they would ship.

From the RI site. https://reloadinginternational.com/

International Orders
What are the requirements for exporting reloading components (bullets and brass)?

An Export License is required to ship bullets and brass out of the US. All export license applications require a signed purchase order. A completed purchase order can be downloaded during checkout. Some countries require import certificates or permits. For more specific details on international orders see our International Orders page and select the country that you reside in.

How long does it take to get an export license?

The whole process can take up to 6-8 weeks. The time required to process an export license varies by country.

There's not much for sale in western NB. The Gun Dealer has some stuff but buying by mail is the way to go. By the time you drive all over NB you might as well just buy it on line.

The thing is, go into a real gun shop. The stuff sitting around in the secondary market is surprising. Discontinued, New old stock and stuff that you would think you'd never see again.
That's what I look for.

That's always a good idea. But I would add that auctions and weekend gun shows are also good sources of interesting or useful stuff as well. Over the years, I have found many things that were of interest to me. Talking with the vendors, I am often surprised when they say things like, oh yeah, I've been carrying that around to all the gun shows for years.

You are right. You never know what you'll find.

There are. I used to go to Fredericton, Moncton, Chatham and a few other places. I don’t know where you would find a list of shows though.
