Just a little winter show and tell. Several years ago I was looking for a 'boomer' at the fun show. I was enjoying trying out new cartridges but the biggest I'd loaded for was 338Fed and I was looking for something 375 or bigger. I came upon a table with an old timer sitting behind it that I hadn't seen before. He had a couple nice factory rifles and two customs. One an Interarms Mark X in 375Wby and another a Rem 788 260. I grabbed both the instant I saw them. The 788 had a custom stock that was across the room nice. The 375Wby had a synthetic stock that I've since replaced with wood stock off one of the forums. I'm a Wby fan so I was excited about the 375Wby chambering. A little more power than the H&H and just unique. I got the stock for cheap and had Preacher on accurateshooter checker it for me. It turned out great. Two customs for a great deal that I really enjoy and will never sell. (I had a Leupold 3-9 on the 375wby, but I'm in the market for something like a 2-7 currently)

The 788 stock is pretty, the wood on the Weatherby is pure porn. Very nice.

Great find, had a good show at one table. I love shows like that.

The grain on both of those stocks is beautimous! Can’t say I’ve ever seen that kind of grain on the 788 before. .

The 788 looks like it's been colored with a torch. And the Mauser looks like a Claro/English graft. It the customer's happy, that's all that matters.
