Bought this little rifle off a guy here, all I can say is wow, what a nice little handling gun. It’s a browns precision rifle that was made in 1980 on a model 600 action, which the previous owner breathed new life into and made it look really good imo. Even came with all the orginal paperwork and correspondence with browns from 79-80. Really looking foward to loading up some 80 grainers and seeing how it will shoot! Chambered in 6mm Remington.

That's a nice looking rifle, sans the scope & mounts & I like the 6mm as well.

I've used several of Brown's stocks & I like the a lot as the ergos suit my taste.

They were great little rifles. had a 600 Mohawk for a short time. Had to liquidate stuff when I had a heart attack and couldn’t work for a while. Nice rig. Then the REM Model 7 came along. Much better with the trigger guard and bottom being metal from the git go. Love the Brown stocks. They bring a premium today.

Is that some sort of bolt release?

Yes, I guess it was a modification browns did to the 600 action when they were used for custom rifles .
