Just that. It’s very stormy/windy in Northern California now and the power just shut off but came back on. I use my propane lantern sometimes. I had a Coleman battery lantern but I’d did not last long. Candles don’t last. I have a jump/start battery pack . Would be nice if someone made a lantern I could plug the battery pack into. Alan

What outputs does the battery pack have?
People make all sorts of lights. A GoalZero Lighthouse is a LED lantern with a USB input and a crank as backup that will run anywhere from 5 hours to 300 hours, depending on brightness.
A UST Duro is another LED lantern that will run from 20 hours on high to 30 days on low brightness.
If you pack has USB A, both can charge from it. We mostly use ours on Portaledges, for romantic purposes.

Alan c: Underground wiring here and the electricity is only very, very rarely interrupted. Have several lanterns and about one dozen flashlights but again almost never need to use them. Hope you weather out this latest storm okay and that you reconsider where you live (exist!). Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

32kw Generac turbo 4 cylinder commercial generator. Previously we relied on a bunch of 18650 fed rechargeable flashlights from Amazon called ThorFires. They are $20 flashlights with adjustable output, used to place one facing up on the kitchen island and it would light the room.
No we don’t worry about much, just wait a minute and all the lights come back on!

Bought them on clearance at Walmart for $5 a piece. with the right oil they don't make any smoke or unpleasant smells if you want to use them inside. I have all mine filled with citronella oil and use them on campouts with the kids instead of messing with Coleman lanterns.

We have two old kerosene lamps we have used many times with power outages. They work great. Just do not put the wick up to high, so you do not get the black suet. They use very little fuel also.

America is (supposed to be) a Republic, NOT a democracy. Learn the difference, help end the lie. Fear a government that fears your guns.
