Thanks.

Since I got it (11th bday) its been my favorite rifle bar none, period.

Its not a target rifle, but compared to any and all "field rifles" i've comapred it to its stunningly accurate and just a perfectly fun blast to shoot.

I shudder ot think of how many red squirrels, punks, and Al cans it claimed in my youth!

Love the Mountie with the heavy barrel!!!! I have a ‘54 L prefix. Fun piece. If I can find the pic with production numbers I got from the Marlin forum, I’ll post it. Someone will be happy.

My mountie was my prized possession & I plinked an unbelievable number of drink cans, paper plates, along with the occasional squirrel. The current production lever 22s being made by other brands don’t come close to the quality & durability of these Marlins & it’s unlikely that Ruger will ever make these models. Bump for a classic.

The heavy barrel makes for an excellent off hand shooter.

Can’t believe this Marlin is still available. If I didn’t have several variations of the 39 carbine length 22s already I would snap this one up. I might anyway if it doesn’t sell soon. Bump for a great 22!
