We will likely find a dentist already in place.

What a relief.

Broke a wisdom tooth a month ago had to have it pulled, took 25 minutes but he got it all. only cost was $577.

Heck, ALL of the doctors and dentists we used for decades have now retired. Replacements are less than half our age. My wife actually taught our new dentist when he was in pre-school.

The good news is that this new crop won't be retiring while we're still kicking.

Really sucks when you loose a good person charging a fair rate. My cousin was our rural dentist for years. Charged fair rates. Had more clients than he wanted. And walked away to retire. I dont' blame him at all. Retire and enjoy. But the next ones are sticker shock.

My teeth folks for dentures charged me 170 bucks to clean 8 abutments and my dentures. Took about 10 minutes. I get you have to make money. But thats about nuts in my mind.

Doctor Tad, is a shooter. he is the one with the 50cal. single shot. Like me. a hunter when he was younger.

I thought everyone owned at least a single shot 50 bolt gun or such.

It wasn't that long ago that pulling one of my teeth was give or take 100. I recall some pulled in the 90s that were 25 dollars. I'd pass out if someone said 600.

So move to the UK.

Don’t need no ‘postrophy on dentists to make it plural.

I'm thinking most dentists don't want to work in a rural area. Unless they're from that same area, no doubt, it's tough finding one to take over.

Mine is mid/late 60's and I've been going to him since the late 80's.

We sold fats to his dad, He's 20 miles south.

I'm 65. My dad gave me some good advice when he was about the same age I am now. "Find a good young doctor, dentist and mechanic that you trust and that won't retire before you die". I've got the Doctor and Dentist, but my mechanic is only a couple of years younger than me. I'd like to find someone younger but can't not use Gary. I'll cross that bridge when he retires, which will be soon.

My current dentist is a young guy I taught in high school. His wife played on the soccer team with my daughter. Since retiring I no longer have dental insurance and he has given me some decent discounts on some of the work.
