3 vents on the 5" stainless.
Makes it look like a fuggin Rossi.

Dont think the YT dork shot a squib. Appears it didnt index.
That supposedly an issue on some of the new ones when they came out.

Maybe theyre doing 3 vents on blued 4" for differentiation in manufacturing? If so theyve fugged up IMHO.

The 4.25 and 6 inch models with wider vent spacing (as seen on stainless models) look best.

They need to toss the laminated grips.

Why "reintroduce" something thats supposed to be venerable and make a mess out of the low hanging fruit like polished hammer flats and appropriate vent count?

The grips and sights can be fixed.

I don't know about the action; I find it suspect, but I did tell myself I would get one if they came back out with a blued 4 incher.

Only five shots were fired. And I looked carefully, and didn't see the cylinder rotate on that non-firing chamber. So, did he only load five??

sounds like the last nail in the coffin for 2 vents... handful of early production blued 2 vents made for press release be the Boa $$$$ of the future IMO... f--cking idiots F up a 2 car parade...

I was all over the internet last night looking at pictures of the new 2024 blued Python. There are as many pictures with the 3 vents as there are with 2.. So, who knows what the standard really is or will flush out to be?

Ditto. I had originally posted this pic off of the Guns & Ammo site that shows two vents, then everybody started saying three so I looked some more and changed my pic to show one with three vents but just now I checked various other sites and it's equal measure of two and three vents.

I didn't have any strong feelings one way or the other but seeing them both the two venter is definitely more aesthetically pleasing.

Maybe the two vent ones are preproduction models or maybe it's vice versa? We'll see.

Another pic showing the interchangeable front sight which AFAIK no original Python ever had.

PS If in five or six years from now they stop making these (which they may well), watch the prices on them go through the roof.

I doubt it's any better than my Colt Model 357.

[Linked Image]

I'd like some original grips for it, but when they appear for sale (rarely), they are super high. There are theoretically replicas available, but whenever I check with a maker, they say "Out Of Stock," and that they will email me when they've made more, but I never get an email.

Agree that 3 vents make it look like a Rossi. Maybe it doesn’t matter but why would they change the vented rib spacing for the first time ever? Almost makes me want to buy a blued six inch over a 4 in.

1sr Gen Python Grips/Silver Medallions
