Just got the M1899 that I mentioned last week I was thinking about buying. Did the deed, and am I glad!! Serial #75683 says it was manufactured in 1909. Beautiful gun...Marbel tang sight, octagon barrel, the old "quarter moon" butt, .25-35....excellent condition. Paid dearly for it, but I'm happy! Will be even happier if it shoots the way I expect it will!

Rick...
The Marble tang site is "Marble's Automatic Flexible Joint Rear Sight." It needs a dish, or iris. I checked Marble's site and apparently can only order the entire sight. Any suggestions.

This was posted by Akjeff sometime back. I don't remember anyone posting that they had bought parts but if you do let us know what he has and the price. I could yuse some if the price is right.

"Guy's,
The man to see for Marbles sights/parts is Dave James.
He basically bought alot of the parts inventory from the old Marbles company. He's a really nice guy, who's interesting to talk to. A real sourdough. He deals in Marble's only.

I contacted Mr. James...a really pleasant guy to talk to. The cost for the 9/16 aperature is $15.00. The smaller aperature is, I think, $12.00. No charge for mailing. He says he has no complete sights, but has all parts for all Marble folding sights.
