Throughout life I’ve witnessed a handful of couples that were 2 peas in a pod. About 30 years ago I lived in Yakima Washington for about a year. I was working on a job and while having lunch with a few strangers the topic of relationships came up. This one guy said his first wife was a nightmare . They fought all the time. This guy re married and tells me after 5 years of marriage , he could not wait to get home to see his wife. He said they were still on their Honeymoon. I’ll never forget it. Your thoughts?

Coming up on 52 years. She hasn’t shot me yet.
Our two college aged granddaughters got a kick out of seeing us holding hands walking across the restaurant parking lot. “So cute”, they said.

First wife? Not so much towards the end. She had cancer and she felt like sheit. It made her meaner than <pick your meanest metaphor>.
Second wife? For the most part, yes. The most part is life and the kids get in the way of the honeymoon part. I do try to not piss her off though. She's a better shot than most men are.

I lost my 1st wife to cancer after 33 years. Then I met and married another one. 15 years now. Both were as described above. 48 years of honeymooning.

Lost mine last valentines day to cancer after 49+ plus years of a very good marriage.
