I had a 2019 and now have a 2024, and I have found the gas pedal on the 2024 takes much more effort to get the truck going. Yep, the new truck has a lot more bells and whistles, which I really don’t need.

I think that some vehicles with with higher speed count transmissions use the first part of gas pedal movement to signal transmission to downshift without increasing fuel, then add gas. Maybe that's the lag you notice?

And since I only had 80k on it, still got a good trade in. I will be upgrading the new truck, but not in any rush just yet. It does not have a sport mode.
