Looking closely at this in 2.5-10 x 42. Seems a bit heavy but robust. Kinda like the reticle. Any input from those familiar would be appreciated.

It is an awesome scope. I have both the 2.5-10x and the 4-16x. They announced a new 4S at SHOT. Short tube, lighter by a few ounces. 4-16x. I will get one when they release

Indeed they are an awesome scope, I’ve had one sit directly by some of the best scopes made by most peoples account, including tt, a 4-20 zco, a zeiss v8, and my Magnus, and a scope of that price shouldn’t have glass that competes with them yet it does.
Same fov as the best scopes like an z8 or zco, incredible dof and resolution that competes with the best, just a ton of scope for the money, or for that matter just a great glass at any price. Very easy to get right with little to no effort, or at least the one I tested was.
The 6-24 is the one I had experience with and a side note, it doesn’t tunnel at 6, something even many much more expensive scopes can’t claim. Again, great glass and I’ve seen nothing anywhere near that price that really comes close glass wise.

That is where I got it too. Heck of a deal. Emailed Cameraland NY to see what they could do as their price was about $85 higher. Never got a response. Oh well, feces occurs.

I wish Steiner offered simple reticles like the S&B A4 or A7. Great low light hunting reticles. I own 2 pair of Steiner binos. Great optics for what you pay. Instead I just picked up a S&B 6x42 with A7 reticle.

You would be wrong my friend, the E3 reticle is a great hunting reticle, especially for low light and illumination is a bonus.

How is Steiner for durability/holding zero? They are SFP. I could almost swear when I bought my Predator 4 last year there was a coupon going with Kenton Industries for a custom turret, but I bought a couple of different scopes at the same time so I could be mistaken on this. I do know that Kenton will do a turret for it, I just haven't decided if it is needed for my current setup on my coyote rifle. Steiner dialing has been bulletproof for me at least. I run a T5Xi 5-25x on my Tikka CTR and it dials to 1,200 yards and back perfectly. Never a hiccup. I do not dial my Predator 4 4-16x that is on my coyote rifle just because the BDC reticle aligns with my chosen load within an 1" all the way out to 500 yards. The factory Hornady Superformance .223 53 grain V-Max with its high BC is some bad medicine on coyotes. I need to call Neil at CameralandNY and get on the list for the new Predator 4S. I actually did call them Wednesday but he is off work that day Saved me some money, if only for a little while....

"I could almost swear when I bought my Predator 4 last year there was a coupon going with Kenton Industries for a custom turret, but I bought a couple of different scopes at the same time so I could be mistaken on this" I have the Steiner Predator P4 2.5-10x42. I've had recent conversations with Kenton Industries and with Steiner in Germany. Steiner in Germany is stating that the vendor is to provide the free custom turret. However, when speaking with Steiner in the U.S., they state that the offer has been rescinded by Steiner. So, each is blaming the other. Kenton Industries will charge $115.00 for the turret. They can keep it. The scope is top of the line and a custom turret is really not necessary. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbt...4-2-5-10x42-top-of-the-line#Post18136774
