My 40 year old 505 has finally given up after no telling how many hundreds of #’s of powder.
So I’m in the market for a new scale. I’m not willing to put up with drift on the load cell type electric scales. That leaves only a very expensive option, and I’m not sure I want to do that.
I could get another 505 , but my aging eyes would appreciate something a little easier to read.
Who makes a very good beam scale that reads grains ?
Any other suggestions?

I drilled a hole in the shelf that my beam scale sets on and poked a cheap round (maybe 3" dia) magnifying glass from the Walmarts in the hole so when eye balling it from my chair I could read the pointer much MUCH better. Just an idea if ya want to go with another 505.

Good tip F.A. I'm still good just using reading glasses. If my 505 finally died and wasn't repairable, I'd just buy another one. I'm use to it and I've been able to try load cell technology, and it didn't do that much for me.. and just more high tech, so something more than can go wrong.
