I've been a proponent of the 77gr TMK out of the 5.56mm but quite honestly the 6 Max seems like it should be a step up from the 5.56mm with less wind deflection. The velocity is a sweet spot performance wise. With the 90gr it would be near 243W performance out of an AR15 platform. It isn't hard to tune, with or without a suppressor. What's not to like?

I’ll stick with a 6 ARC. From everything I’ve seen the 6 MAX is shooting lighter bullets and using longer barrel to get their velocities up.

the max sounds ok but the Arc got there first and is established with brass , dies , ammo , barrels , etc.
from what I can see , there is little difference in actual ballistics........
