Any opinions on the Zeiss conquest 3-12 56mm scope for use onlonger range coyote shooting?
Is this a fist or second plane reticle?

The Zeiss Conquest 3-12x56 hasn't been made in quite some time. Unlike the rest of the original Conquest lineup, this one was FFP and had a 30mm tube.

If you mean the Conquest V4 3-12x56, it's a second focal plane scope.

Both are very good scopes, but the V4 is ahead of the Conquest in terms of optical quality, not to mention the fact that it's available with the excellent #60 illuminated reticle. The original Conquest line was not offered with illumination.

For your application, the V4 4-16x44 actually might be a more versatile choice.

I own a 3-12x56 Conquest it's a long way from new probably made before 2010 30mm tube FFP it's a good quality optic. It is not as good in low light as the 3-12x44 V4 30mm SFP I have which I purchased around 2020. I remember when I purchased the 3-12x56 I thought it was on par with the Swaro Z3 then its a heavy scope. I would say if the link below is the scope interested in it is a high quality optic.
