Hello all, I believe I have aquired a 1953 99RS, version 2, style 1, in super nice condition...I am wanting to aquire a pair of the hook style sling swivels for the sling eyes that were factory back at that time...if some one would have a pair to let go, please PM me, with pictures and what you'd like to get for them and we'll see if it works out, thanks...here is a photo link to pics of the rifle, hope it works, always a trick for me!...
Very nice! Looks like case colored screws on the Redfield tang sight?

Calhoun, the screws do look to be case colored, even on the side/ adjustment screws...cartridge rotory magazine/counter looks like case colored steel, like some '52-'53 EG's?
I know this has been discussed before, but have we ever reached a consensus about which of the three commonly available sizes of swivel hooks Savage issued on their rifles? Seems like Winchester used the longest/largest hooks. In any event the three different sizes of hooks are not universally correct for Marlin, Savage and Winchester guns.

Those Hunter knobs are also cased. Redfield did that back in the day.

They should be Rory, I have a different model nib Redfield Receiver Sight and the target knobs and all the screws, including the mounting screws are cased.
