As always, Karl did amazing work and turned a 8 twist 22-250 tikka into my new 22 creed. Rechambered and cut and threaded the barrel 5/8'x24 at 19". He added in a seamless shoulder and also a thread cap until the suppressor gets out of jail. Suppressor is 6" long so will finish up around 25" barrel length.

The arken 4-16x44 is on it for now as I go through some load workup, but bit the bullet, and have on backorder a S&B 3-12X42 with Turret - the 4.8mil turret will get me out to 6-700 yards. I do think I will try to find a rail that doesn't set so high and lower rings. That will go on it permanently whenever it arrives. Got a bunch of 80 grain ELDx and H4350. Hoping to safely land in the 31-3200 FPS range. Rifle is going to be with me to chase deer and antelope in fall and maybe an elk - we will see, still talking myself into that...

Mountain Tactical 40 Mo/Mo 1913 extended rail and Swiffer Low's are tough to whoop for rugged reliability, surface area and ring spacing. All the things that are a scope's BEST friend. Hint.

Just sayin'...............

Thoughts on the leupold backcountry's on a tikka? If I move away from a rail setup, those are a bit intriguing....

If getting away from a rail, I'd be hard pressed to not give the Sportsmatch rings a look. Very pleased with mine and can't see a reason to change.

The Reupold BC's are sound, but on a Teeker's L/A receiver,I wanna do my scopes as many flavors as possible. Such things aid zero retention, tracking and repeats,by simply protecting guts. Hint.

BC's as compared to LW's. Reupold fasteners are vastly superior and there's more meat on the bone. Hint.

Swiffer Low's in a like-ish comparison. Hint.

I cain't let a 1913 rail go,on a Teeker. Especially T1X. Hint.

It's RELIABLY funnier than fhuqk, how a 1913 rail, ring spacing, good rings and a sound scope will take a lick or two. Hint.

It's never been difficult to know who shoots and who is riding the pine. Hint.

I have swfa lows and a ss 3-9 mil/mil on my tikka 22-250. I'm shooting 80g elds in my tikka 22-250 8 twist. I prefer the 75s and 88s but I bought a bunch of 80s at half price a few years back. My 75s go in my 223 ai and my 88s are for my 7 twist 22 Creedmoor so the tikka got the 80s.

The first load I took up to pressure did under 1/2 moa with the 80s in the tikka so load development was short and stayed there. I've wondered if it will spin 88s enough but haven't tried it yet.

I've got enough of the 80s that I'll have to build a 22 arc AR to knock a dent it the pile. I'd trade them for 75s if I could. My 223AI faux Ti still gets used more than any other rifle but seeing this reminds me that I need to use the tikka 22-250 more. It shoots like tikkas are rumored to.
