Out doing some cleanup in the front yard and came across these remains. Skull is about 7" long and the upper leg bone is about 4". What do you think it was when it enjoyed life?

Tusk would appear hoglike.

Saggital crest for attaching very strong jaw muscles.

Small feral hog is my take

Well, I hadn't considered that, wasn't sure it occurred in FL.

Might be Florida Man though? A midget one?

Ain't a hog. Difference in bone structure is quite significant.

Dan; would you be able to post a picture of the bones on question beside a know item for scale?

Or post measurements?

Thanks

Thanks DD.

I've never seen a hog skull

did it come from another continent?

It had seriously big jaw muscles and that is one heck of a canine.

When I Google coyote skull, that looks most like it. Probably K9 of some kind. Too long to be a Florida panther.
