Headed to the 6Shooter gun show in Winston-Salem this Saturday and I'm looking to sell my lefty Remington 700LH BDL in .30-06. Timney trigger. New Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 mounted on it. Not a safe queen but it's in really good used condition. Couple of bumps here and there. Clean bore.
Been out of the market for quite some time. What does something like this sell for these days?

Is it a newer version Zeiss or the older one. Seems there was a change made a few years back, and I think the older ones might be more desirable?
Anyway, good luck with selling it.

Hadn't thought about splitting them. That's a good option that I can offer. It is a USA assembled Carl Zeiss. Pretty sure that I still have the box for the scope. I removed the rear sights 40 yrs ago but the front sight and hood are still there. If I remove the scope, should I install the rear sights? Thanks

Hadn't thought about splitting them. That's a good option that I can offer. It is a USA assembled Carl Zeiss. Pretty sure that I still have the box for the scope. I've seen the BDLs up to 1200 plus dollars here and there in good shape. The scope was likely a minimum of 300 new.
I would start the gun no less than 1000 and see. Scope I would start at 300 and see. Just a wild guess.
The old conquests were good. Zeiss warranty has been good to me too. Couple of of OLD abused scopes and they replaced them with upgrades free. I was just hoping they could fix the erectors when they quit working. Not expecting a new scope.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

I had a couple older conquest I had bought new that wouldn't hold zero, Zeiss quit trying to fix them and sent me comparable upgraded new models very quickly.
I also agree separating scope and rifle is best, any good shop would do that before any customers see it.

A good shape 3-9 Conquest would sell here in the classifieds for at least $375 in very short order.
But you said it is mounted so it is not really "new" anymore.

I'd pull the scope and have it with the box, if you have it. Reinstall the rear sight. Price them separately with a small discount if someone wants to buy both.
