If I am understanding correctly, it won't go into the chamber and you don't have enough leverage to extract and eject it. Here is what I have done. Get a friend to hold the rifle and exert pressure on the lever while you tap on a rod inserted into the bore contacting the bullet. DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF THE MUZZLE! let only your finger tips hold the rod. HTH
