I finally found some 150 gr AccuBonds, now I need some load data. Nosler doesn’t list Big Game in their data, and that’s my favorite, so I’m hoping someone has some data. I have plenty of Hunter, too, which delivers the highest velocity of the powders listed by Nosler.

Velocity data would be nice.

Western Powders Edition 1 has data for Big Game with the 150gr Partition. Nosler 9 has the 150 Partition with the 150 ABLR in the same table.

46.2 gr BG with a 150 TTSX

I’m using 46.2 gr with a 150 ELDX

Gives me a starting point, thanks for the idea.

Yes, but Nosler uses the same data for the two bullets with the powders they do list.

For reference, from The Western Powders manual for Big Game with the 150 Partition:

Start 40.1gr @ 2,409 fps

Max 44.5gr @ 2,677 fps, max pressure 57,600 psi

2.740 COL

Same chart, directly under the Partition data:

150 Barnes TSX-BT

Start 41.6gr @ 2,550

Max 46.2 @ 2,782 fps, max pressure 60,068

COL 2.735

Don’t you have a great load for the 150 ELD? I’d just drop a couple of grains and work back up.

Still messing with seating depth in my 18” 7mm-08 but so far 150 AB’s and H4350 is showing a lot of promise at 46 gr.

Pharmseller,
I use 44.1 of BG with the NosAB with velocity of 2760fps. Barrel is 24" Not a barn burner but accuracy is great.

Just try Hunter powder. You might just like it. That's what I'm using in my 7mm-08 and 150gr Nosler partitions. Running 2,800 fps. Shoots great out to 500 yards, as tested. .7 moa average out to 400 yards on paper. I'd expect at least that out of an Accubond, if you can get them to shoot accurately.

You don't always have to use Big Game powder.

This is where you post something about me being dangerous and irresponsible.

I’m counting on you, don’t disappoint me.

I usually have great luck with h4350 with 140s to 180s. I used to use RL15 with lighter bullets but more recently I've found 8208xbr works really well with 120s to 150s. I killed an elk a few years ago with 150s over 8208xbr from my 18" fieldcraft.
