Anybody here use it or have tried it?

Lead shot here is $65/25, reclaimed shot is $49/25.

I bought one bag to test.

Anything good or bad to report.

I've used if for years. Trap club I belong to takes the cleaning of lead shot very seriously, dirt is blown out, any metal other than lead is taken out with big magnet, then washed and coated with new graphite, $25/25 lbs. Use it for practice, good mix of 7, 8, 8 1/2.
And yes I shoot it out of an expensive O/U with no affect on the barrels.

Have you notice any significant issues when patterning compared to nice round new shot?

Our local club sold it for $1# too but it didn't get the clean up processing. So I rinse it over a fine sieve air dry put.it in a can and mix in a little graphite. Still steel in it so I just use in my lower value guns. Seems to break targets..mb

For 16 yds or first shot on doubles I see little difference, don't shoot handicap or second shot on doubles.
Any tournament I'll shoot factory.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I used a lot of it when it was available. Broke clays just fine. I don't shoot competition so it didn't really matter to me.

As an aside, when I was a kid I used to reclaim "BBs" and reuse them as many times as I could find them.

Are you sort of dense, don't shoot none, or wealthy? Most serious shotgun shooters shooting 15 to 20K rounds a year welcome a 40-50 % savings on a loads most pricey component.

Reclaimed, a mix of soft & hardened shot, some out of round or with flat spots might not be the first choice for tournament shooting but perfect & cost saving for practice or general shooting,,,, a win budget wise..

You'd have to ask the recyclers.

Me and a friend bought some back in the 80's.

Loaded up some 12 and 16 gauge shells.

Went hunting quail and found out that some shot did not go where you were shooting, lots of flyers.

They killed birds good if you were close.
