My Dad and I haven't fished together in decades. He loves smallmouth bass. Is there a better place to take a day or two to fish in the MI, OH, IN, KY, IL area? I would like to fish with a charter service in the Spring.

Go to Lake Erie if wanting a charter. I don’t fish charters so can’t help out there but smallies in the bays at a certain time can be good fishing.

There are very good guide services on LSC. That’s def the best way to get yerself a new personal best smallie if you’re after one!

I grew up on that lake. It’s awesome. The musky population there has exploded as well.
