I've heard that too. In fact, I believe it was Rush Limbaugh.

My father, U.S. Army in Europe during WW II, didn't like the Red Cross because they charged .05 cents for coffee whereas the Salvation Army provided coffee free to the military.

So are you admitting to having a sick and twisted mind like I have.
I could read it just as fast as if it was written correctly

This was the test.
They just did not tell us that we were being tested.

Read it???? Hell, I spell like that.

After the first few words I read it as fast as "real" words. Maybe even a little faster as I went into "scan".

Red Cross - Uncle had a farm in the Missouri River bottomlands before the Garrison Dam went in. Got flooded out one spring. RC was willing to loan him re-seed money for a mortgage on the farm. Not happening....

Another Uncle said that when he shipped out for Guadelcanal from New Caledonia, the RC gave every GI 2 packs of donated cigarettes, and then burned a stack of cases or cartons 6 feet high and 100 yards long- didn't mention width. Donated cigarettes! He was pretty pissed about it. Only thing he ever mentioned about Guadalcanal fight.

Last I read, it is actually closer to 93-94% with the vast majority of those "administrative expenses" = salary...
