When you say "need to seat them hard" what do you mean?
Make absolutely sure they are bottomed out or slightly compressed in the primer pocket. Seating them flush or just below may lead to misfires. Those that misfired would sometime fire on the second or third try. In my experience, these are not sensitive primers.

Gents:

An update: 100% ignition with these primers today, about 60 striker-fired, and about 40 firing pin.

100 out of 100 went bang.
