The modern dependence on technology is a travesty. This little incident just shows how you could easily cripple a nation. Consider the pilot program a success.
Quit giving in inch by inch then looking back to lament the mile behind ya and wonder how to preserve those few feet left in front of ya. They'll never stop until they're stopped. That's a fact.

Looks like all the illegals😡, they show on the news, have one. If those sob's were hurting so badly, or seeking asylum, you'd think they would be crossing the border in rags. The Lying Hiden Biden “Administration” issues them a FREE Cellphone when they enter America ILLEGALLY. Along with EBT cards for food and clothing. Not to mention FREE room & board at some Hotel. Another words, YOUR TAX DOLLARS at work. You and all the rest of us that pay taxes paid for it. Book it. 😡

I guess nobody saw the prediction that a huge solar flare would probably disrupt electronic communications this week, huh? From this site...https://www.theregister.com/2024/02/23/solar_flare_warning/ While notable, the flares were not responsible for the cellular network outages experienced across the USA today. An X-class solar flare like this one, while capable of causing disruptions for radio communications and navigation systems, is one thing. But it's a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) that truly warrants concern for our planet. A CME can hurl billions of tons of solar plasma into space, potentially reaching Earth and causing extensive geomagnetic storms, threatening grids, satellites and comms infrastructure. In instances where an X-class flare does not produce a notable CME, as it appears is the case today, the direct impact on Earth's technological systems is considerably less severe. These flares occurred during Sun Cycle 25, which started in 2019 and is predicted to run until around 2030, with its peak in 2025. This X6.3 flare is the biggest of this cycle, but probably won’t keep that title.

Technology has degraded our culture. People do not read anymore. BOOM! What's the difference between reading on paper and on a screen? Information transfer is just that, regardless of method - is it not? I mean, pamphlets during the 18th century, not full books or newspapers - I'd assume to appeal to what they felt were shortening attention spans and likely the cost of printing. But none the less - information transfer. Let us not forget about Town Criers and such as there was a good proportion of the populace that couldn't even read a public notice pasted to a shop wall.

Interesting that X Class solar flares couldn't have disrupted cell phones etc, but GOES 16 was blocked from transmitting data by the flare.
Almost beginning to believe that some are pounding the war drums with a fabricated cyber-attack.
