So apparently I've been under a rock, and used brass is now carrying a spot price close to unobtainium. I have pails of brass that has anything ranging from .222 to 375 H&H (even had a 416 Rigby), but want to get a ballpark of what a ((fair)) price is per piece or batch. I don't want to plus my 401K with it, but since I'm going to be sorting/packing/shipping it, I want to make it worth my while. If there's anyone out there that can give me an idea, I would appreciate it.

Your big calibers that you mentioned are worth over a buck a piece.

You didn’t mention if it’s once or twice fired, headstamp, general range pickups or anything much about it’s origin, all of which help determine what it’s worth.

I should have stayed asleep...

If it were me I'd take a Saturday, sort it and clean it up. Then do a little research on here. Some calibers (.257 Roberts, .358 Winchester and other oddball calibers) are really getting desirable and hard to find. A buck a piece shipped is good for the smaller calibers bigger ones can get a buck or two a piece.

All depends on the exact brass. The RUM cartridges run $3-$4 per brass piece for example, and will sell in minutes at that price usually (if it’s once fired) cause it’s not often factory made. Some of the big boys like 375 and 416 may sell better over on africanhunting

Number one thing I think is to spend some time researching it. A good example of what I mean is that I've seen ads on here for used brass at prices that were higher than new brass that was easily obtainable at a number of places. Now, having said that, if you have stuff that's no longer being made, you can pretty much name yuor price.

You could always do what allot of these clowns 🤡 are doing. Post it for a insanely high price. Bump it to the top for four pages worth. Look like idiots, Then take what they can get for it.

How much is it worth to you ? First you have to sort and inspect. Are you going to sell as is or process it ? Tumble ?

Look at new brass prices. Look at prices in the fire classified.

If you don’t want to put the effort in take it to the scrap yard…

All of it to my knowledge is once-fired.
