I wouldn't have neighbors close enough for that kind of mistake to be reasonable. Pretty sure the 300 yard walk across the horse pasture and two fence crossings would prevent any such mistake by my neighbor.

at a company event, we rented out a piano bar and the liquor was flowing pretty freely.
An Indian guy, a good guy, got severely [bleep] - got so drunk his pissed himself.
All the VPs were there and to their credit they took care of the guy and didn't make a big deal about it. In some companies I would think that could be career limiting moment.
The next day I was talking to my boss and he was like "yea, we've all been there"
I was like 'man, I've been [bleep] before but I've never been so drunk I pissed myself"
Not sure where I'd fall in the mistaken grill scale.

About 35 years ago my boss and 10 or so of us were on a company trip when two of the guys just got wasted every night. I took them aside and said that even though our boss was hanging right in there with them that they should be careful about doing that in front of him. They of course ignored me and proceeded to party hardy. Well wouldn't you know it the next time they called in sick for work he went off on how they were probably hungover. Needless to say they didn't last very long at the company.
