I have an old Wadsworth electrical panel in my house. What would it cost to change it to a more modern one.

2015 I had my service upgraded to 200amp and had a Siemens panel put in. It was $1200 plus permit.
Given that was 2015, I'd probably add about $700 to that price.

Depends on if everything else is in good shape, wire, and the meter box. Changing it out with out adding arc fault breakers I would say between 1500 and 2000 for a 200 amp panel

I had a two hundred amp box put in one of my rentals a couple years ago. I think I paid the guy $1000 or $1200.

Kinda like old people's underwear, just depends, if all you need is the box and breakers around 1000 to 1500 if you find out you need a rewire job to get everything up to code ,hold on to your checkbook!,

im and electrician, most places are going to want you to upgrade to a 200a panel its not really a necessity as most houses use no where near that much (my 3000sqft house i have a 100a panel in, with a well and big AC unit, and i use maybe 35a ) if you dont need new wire from the meter, id plan on 2000-2500, if you want to upgrade to a 200A 2500-3500 depending. Our rates here are probably higher than yours though. We charge 190/hr for the first hour and 150/hr after that for a service electricain.

I went from 100A to 200A, some new wiring, new feed, new grounds, Square D panel lots of breakers $1500+ and did it myself. Electric panel installs are simple. I’m not an electrician but I e put in well over 50 services in my life. My dad built homes and he taught me at age 18 as he did not like doing electrical. I put a 400 amp service in for the neighbors . Each job has its challenges. Some are very simple. Some states require a licensed electrician for any electrical work. While your putting in a new service, make provisions for a transfer switch for solar and generator upgrades. Also buy a common brand panel like Square D. Good luck

Another factor in labor is the kind of wire your branch circuits are made of, and if your existing wires will be long enough for the new panel. Old cloth or metal clad wire sucks to strip and can add a additional hour or two to your job

Are you forgetting a zero bud? You can't buy a panel for that

I need to do this in the T1-11 shack and wire in a generator setup. Don't hire a professional... I am sure you can do it yourself.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.
