I hated him in Cool Hand Luke which means he was great. Loved him in everything else which means he was great. Had a show where he was a cop on the beat. Used his baton like a pro. Eiger Sanction. A+.
" ... I see he lived in Eagle, ID when he died. That's news to me. It's about 150 miles from here. I grew up very close to there. At that time, it was a tiny farm town. Now it's a bedroom for Boise."
His daughter and son-in-law live in Eagle. Kennedy was ill and he came to live with them.
As an aside, Kennedy served in WW II in an infantry outfit under Gen. George Patton.

FWIW.... He actually died in a nursing home in Middleton Idaho, a small town a few miles west of Eagle.
He owned a Cessna 337 airplane and used to fly it to Wichita to get painted and other work done to it. He always specified that he wanted it filled up with many cases of Coors beer to be taken back to where he was from. His plane was a bright orange twin engine one in front and the other in the rear. They said he was a great guy. Many from other places also had their planes filled up with many cases of Coors beer to take back home.
