This is a nice old Winchester in a rare caliber and rare configuration made in 1897, which is early and an antique which can be shipped without a FFL. The pictures show how much blueing there is on the gun, with no pitting or rust, and it hasn't all worn off the receiver like so many do. The wood is tight and no cracks. This is a very nice old take down Shrap.
A newer 45 colt modern rifle just sold for half of this as I feel your price is more than fair.

All my moneys going on a valve job on Thursday . This stuff always shows up when I'm broke. This is nicer than the other one , not as nice as the pistol grip new one you got though.

this rifle kissed the flanks of a horse many times it looks to me.
any trade interests?

any trade interests? I don't need anything, but if you have something cool in the way of levers or Colts, i would consider a trade... My dad was a real cowboy and said you never put your rifle in facing to the rear, because of the horse slap and losing the rifle. Do you have any idea of that dogs breed? He looks almost identical to a dog that I currently have. Only major difference is that dog has two back feet/lower legs. Frank, my dog , had his left rear amputated at an early age due to an accident. Frank just appeared as a young dog, rural area, probably dumped. My thinking, and my vet felt the same, probably half Lab and half Pit. Frank is making a good dog. I do worry about Him. As soon as it warms up, I will have him fixed. Delay is because of the cone, that he will have to wear. miles
