Was at the local Cabela's/Bass Pro and there was not even a spot on the reloading aisle for powder or primers. Have they stopped carrying powder and primers ? I didn't want to wait in line at the gun counter to ask.

Cabelas, Gonzales, LA, has more powder than previous. Even some primers, just no large rifle primers.
So things are slowly improving.

Feb11th. Cabelas Triadelphia / Wheeling WV had plenty of primers and powder on the shelf. New normal prices. H4831SC, I4350, H1000, I think. I was surprised at the variety.

They're behind the counter at the ones close to me. I did stop at a local shop the other day that I rarely get in. They had plenty. Still high but available, I was in pretty decent shape on most but I did pick up 2k large magnum pistol primers for 89 each. Shop even had a couple cans of Blackhorn on the counter

Was at the local Cabela's/Bass Pro and there was not even a spot on the reloading aisle for powder or primers. Have they stopped carrying powder and primers ? I didn't want to wait in line at the gun counter to ask. Here in Montana, the reloading aisle at Cabelas hasn't had powder or primers for several years now. At the Cabelas here, the powder and primers, which are in good supply, are behind the gun counter and have been for 3 or 4 years.

Interestingly enough, Scheel's, here, has put their primers back out where they used to be, right next to the other components. Powder, however, is still in back.

My local Cabela's/Bass Pro Shops for the last few weeks has dad a good supply of small and large pistol primers, including magnums, and shotgun primers. Large rifle and large magnum rifle primers not in stock. These are all behind the gun counter. Until recently, powder was kept there as well. Powder is now on the showroom floor in the reloading section. Not a great selection of powders, but a fair amount. Still no H-4895 nor any IMR 4895 that I have been looking for. I don't think I have ever seen any Alliant powders there for sale, only the various Hodgdon family brands.

What's up with it being behind the counter? The Cabelas here has never had them behind the counter. All powder and primers are on the shelf where they have always been.

They are behind the counter, under the guns, at my BPS. Along with the ciggy butts, razor blades, Tide, and baby formula?

My local Cabelas had primers and 8 pound jugs of H4350…. Well one less now! Plenty of H110, lil’ gun, VV of different flavors, lots of IMR powders.
