That is me exactly, could have had it done 4 years before I did. I hope you spent the money for multi focal lenses!

It was the sweetest surgery I have ever had

Just wanted to let you know, you won't be able to sue the Doc for making you look 15 years older.

I struggled with driving at night. I even had to dim the dash lights from glare. Driving at night in the rain was out of the question. I had my wife do the driving at night if we were going out. Got both done a couple weeks apart. Made an amazing difference.

I'm with the 'do it' crowd. Very simple quick surgery and it is life changing! Just be prepared for the scarring that is possible, that's even quicker to fix. I wore glasses and contacts for 50 years, now I can see better than I can ever remember.

I just went for an eye exam and was told I have cataracts. The Dr gave me a scrip for new glasses and said they won't make my vision perfect, but will be an improvement over what I see now. Guessing the cataracts really got my sight messed up. I'll be looking for an appointment next week to find out.

Surgery is simple. You'll have various drops to use for about 3 weeks. I did mono vision and no longer need readers. Liberating!

Doc Jag was a great source of advice and info prior to my surgery. Don't hesitate to PM him with questions.

Best, most life changing thing I ever did was get cataract surgery and get the full vision lenses. That was over 10 years ago and I still have 20/20 vision.

Both eyes done and tuned up for distance. Had some cloudiness develop after 2 years, but some lazar treatment took care of that. I do need glasses for reading now.

Word of warning!!!I hate to rain on this happy parade, but had the operation on thr left eye and was scheduled for the right in two weeks, went for the postoperative checkup and the pressure was to high to do the right one. So had to keep applying drops until it went down , I do have high blood pressure and diabetes and yes that always complicates things, .it took almost two years of drops, pressure checks and having to put up with wearing glasses with one lens before the eye settled down so I could get the other one fixed. My doc told me this happens in about 2 percent of the surgeries done . So ask before you get the surprise I got.

I've heard that three times in my life. Once from each of my parents, and once from my aunt, upon getting home after the procedure. They all said they had no idea how adversely affected by cataracts their vision was till they were removed.

Nothing to it. Give it time after the surgery. Your vision will improve every day. Make sure to use the drops!

Those 3 needles going into your eyeball to ‘numb it up’ should be real special.

Have a nice day.

Why so early? It's a painless bloodless procedure that takes about 10 minutes per eye so don't worry. You won't need to be sedated or have an an IV inserted but the hospital make may require the IV. I took the sedation for the first eye because I was nervous but not for the second eye. The hospital billed my insurance company anyway for the sedation that I didn't get. I had perfect vision in each as soon as the cataracts were removed in 2016 and still do.

My wife had her eyes done a couple of years ago. I talked her into spending the out-of-pocket fee for the best lens. She's glad she did. She only needs cheaters to read fine or fuzzy print.
