I'd be interested in knowing how wide of a barrel I could stuff in one. Could anyone measure across the top of the stock at the tip? And tell me does it look like it could take a straight taper back to the action, or does it have to be contoured? Thanks.

Call Boyds. I've called them before with questions like this, and they've been most helpful. I have a Heritage stock, but it was specific to a given make/model, picked through their web-based stock selector app. BTW: That app often has choices for various barrel variants.
