I have a Vortex Viper 20-60 spotter and knocked it over and cracked the lens last week. Thankfully Vortex will fix it, but when i get it back, I want to put something on it to help protect it a little bit. I like the Marsupial Gear stuff but it doesn’t look like their spotter case will allow the spotter to attach to the tripod while in use. Anything similar that does? I know Vortex makes one, but A) it is black, and I prefer green, tan, or camo, and B) it doesn’t look very padded.

There is one advertised on Amazon that actually looks thick for about $45, but I’m worried about material and build quality.

Lenscoat?

Other option. I got a black Maven case for my Athlon, fits perfectly and better than the neoprene cover that came with it. It was black but I gave it a camo job with spray paint.

Haven’t thought about spray painting a cloth case.

I looked at those lenscoats. Just concerned they aren’t padded enough.

I have used a neoprene cover on my Swarovski AT 65 for several years. It is marked Snugfit on the side but looks just like the Lenscoat ones in the link above and has worked well.

Creedmoor Sports used to make heavier padded cordura cases, but don't see them on their site now. Might be worth a call to them if you want more protection.
