Glad they were caught. Yeah, for me those penalties don't seem too stiff. No mention of their gear/boat being confiscated like rifles are in poaching cases. No mention of any investigation into whether any of those fish were going to get marketed either.
Maybe, just maybe, those fish survive and spawn. They are pretty tough.
