Not much information here, however after adding an Ottmar to my collection last year a Burgess/Milliron custom is next on my wish list.
Cabelas just sold a custom 98 in 7mm Rem mag, and Guns International has a .458 Win Mag for just less than 10K.

I used to correspond with Tom B -- he emailed me about some Internet postings I did. He was a very interesting guy, and one heck of a metalsmith. Each Burgess rifle I have handled was a work of art with a price to boot. I don't know much about Earl Milliron except photos of his work. A Burgess/Milliron rifle would be great.

Milliron periodically did work for Jack O'Connor back in the day. Some of his exceptional work showed up as pictorials in Leupolds brochures.

New to your group. Looking to value a rifle. Sako L61R by Earl Milliron & Tom Burgess, 7mm mag. Have hanging tag dated 1971. Appears to be unfired. Thinking about getting rid of it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Al

A nice Sako L61R Deluxe would probably go for around $1800 or so, on it's own.
A new rifle as you describe should be worth $3500 or so, to someone who wants a Sako & the L61R's were the best they ever did, IMO.
And Milliron's work that I have seen & beautiful. HAve only seen one example of Burgess's work.

I have not had a Burgess but people west of the Mountains in Montana (Kalispell, Big Fork) where tom lived & worked thought very highly of them.
