I'm looking for a 22 mag rifle. I've had great luck with the CZ 457s in 22LR so this is the way button but the BMR is so light. Might be a nice gun to carry calling foxes. Anyone have experience with one? Thoughts?

The Bergara would be a great choice, but so would the CZ 457 and I would throw in the Ruger American. My introduction to the 22 mag. was through Fox hunting many yeas ago. Great memories. When going down Fox hunting memory lane, the Savage/Anschutz 164M always comes to mind. That was my first true Fox hunting rifle.

I have a Bergara BMR and a CZ 452. they are both chambered in 22LR
I would say the little Bergara shoots just as well as the CZ which one shoots the best is probably a matter of what ammo they like best and you are feeding it.
as far as the gun itself I would probably give just a slight edge to the BMR as far as my personal taste and how it feels to me..

I’ve got the BMR in .22 mag and one in .22 LR. Super easy to trigger job them with a tap and set screws, think I got all you need if you decide to go that route.

I bought it because i have quite a few boxes of ammo. If it doesn't shoot what i have, down the road it will go.

I bought one last Saturday. Don't have it yet due to the 10-day stupidity in CA. I'm hoping it's accurate. What ammo did you shoot Dennis? What scope did you put on it?

I have three 22 magnums that have a decided preference for their favorite, and a strong distaste for their least favorite.

For some reason, my .22 Mag Bear Creek Upper shoots very well with everything I’ve tried thus far, and has the added benefit of putting them all just about in the same place at 50yards. Their 416R SS Wilde barrels have a good reputation for accuracy, so maybe that ‘splains it. I bought a Wilde upper too and it looks promising as well. The two look nearly identical. That .22 Mag may be the best $206 I spent on guns in recent years. Heavy bugger though with the 20 heavy barrel.
What fresh Hell is this?

Ammo is half the price of cheap .223. My upper is about as close to identical to the Wilde upper I just bought as it can get, both heavy 20” SS side-chargers. Really cheap fun. Thinking about one of the .410s which use the same Invector chokes as my my Henry SS.
Be certain to read the fine print about compatible lowers. Needs a Mil-spec lower with an un-notched hammer, and a hefty whack to ignite those RF rounds. I bought one from PSA, $159.
