I like to believe if he was around I might get a nod on where I've landed with my LTR in .308. After years in the original stock with a NF 5.5-22x50 I have-thanks largely from Pat's influence-it is restocked in a McMillan Game Scout and wearing a S&B PMII 10X. Good shooting, David! Pat's a beautiful human - big heart, always willing to provide counsel, and, like many of us, his tolerance for bullszhit, ego and grandstanding is quite low. Has anyone heard from him recently? Yes. He's doing well and the coyotes in NE Montana continue to live in fear.

I certainly miss his great range & depth of experience (and superb photography!). Yes, hunters tend to stay in touch. He's doing fine. Got tired of the $hitshow wannabes that inhabit the fire, or as he called them, "creeps". Lots of those types for sure, shrapnel, Jim Conrad, never outdoors, cashisking, raeford, earlyturd, Hastings, etc. Shared photos back and forth with him all season.

As Dantheman223 stated, he led me to good water. Caused me to return to my first love being the 308. Now I shoot 155 Scenar’s in all of my 308’s & 300 WSM’S. Much knowledge to behold in that thread.
