I forgot about that stuff! I think it was my first taste of beer when I was maybe 6! Thought it was horrible stuff. But that didn't last long. The old days.

It is absolutely, 100%, "just ok". Drinkable, must be ice cold. My best buddy's go to beer, so half the time I drink it, half the time whatever is at my house/garage. We haul a couple 30 packs to Newfoundland each trip and those fellas like it. I've had worse, but also better.

We usually referred to it as Iron $hitty. Drank a lot of IC Light back in the day. They had a plastic throwaway 1/4 keg in a waxed cardboard box. They called it the Pumper. Quick and easy party on the go.

Old German for me, don’t know how far it’s distributed.

Now days it’s made by Pittsburgh Brewing, alongside IC.

From 2009 to 2021 it was actually contract brewed in Latrobe - Rolling Rock's old facility. Facility was owned by City Brewing Co based in La Crosse WI. They also made Sam Adams there for a while. Boston Beer Co being HUGE fans of contract brewing before they got to the scale they are now. Lots of their beer wasn't made in MA much less Boston.

I don't mind ML - if it's all that's available but it's pretty easy to find something else!

I hauled Sam Adam's out of Iron City's brewery back in the 90s.
Interesting thing about trucking, you get to see behind the curtains.
Sometimes it was funny.
