No, but I was marched. Had no trouble with that, but a lot found it hard to do. Could not figure how to lead with the left foot, and did not know their left from their right. miles
Look out for number 1, don't step in number 2.

Yep.... quite a bit actually. Being Light Infantry with only one jeep assigned to the Battalion..quite a bit.

Yes. It was required learning in 2 courses of BNCOC and 2 courses of ANCOC.

A few times..
Other than mimicking commands for large formations.
I was an ROTC MS3 instructor for 2 years teaching cadets, but had an E7 that handled most of it. I also spent 3 summers as a PLT TAC Officer at ROTC advance camp (lovely Ft. Lewis).

The Caption wanted me to go to Officer's school. I wanted to go home, and farm. Being commissioned is fun, right up until you hit field grade.. Then it's mostly staff assignments and the chit you didn't sign up for. By that time you've already got some time invested, I had more due to being prior service.
